Magma Design Group Participates In Pawtucket Proud Day!
Samantha Helps a Group of Volunteers Plant an Ash TreeIn collaboration with the Pawtucket Foundation, Magma Design Group helped lead an effort to clean-up the Blackstone Riverfront during this year's Pawtucket Proud Day. With major support from the city, project leaders Mark House of Resource Controls and Magma's Samantha Best worked together to form a plan that focused on having volunteers remove invasive vines, clearing brush, and planting native trees along the riverfront. In a recent article printed in the Pawtucket Times, Samantha was quoted as saying "We are thrilled to be a part of a project that focuses on the revitalization of Pawtucket's historic waterfront. Additionally, it's proximity to Tolman High School will provide valuable learning tools for the students for years to come." This is the first phase of planting and clearing to be completed. Future phases will include more plantings, the construction of a walking path, and the construction of a bike bath that will connect to the planned Blackstone River Bikeway.
