Project Goal: To prevent further erosion of an existing slope into the adjacent wetlands and to maintain the structural stability of an existing deck.

Project Description: The challenge of this project was to prevent further erosion along a severe slope while also providing safe access to the client’s back yard and pond. Furthermore, a portion of the project is located within a 50’ wetland buffer so permitting through DEM was essential. The project therefore required a full set of plans to be submitted to DEM for approval. Submissions included an existing conditions plan, grading and site plans, a landscape plan, and construction details. Emphasis was also placed on the use of native plantings as erosion control agents and to repair disturbed areas.
